(Helena, MT) — The man challenging Montana Governor Greg Gianforte later this year is outlining his priorities for office. Democratic candidate Ryan Busse spoke in front of reporters yesterday inside the rotunda of the State Capitol building in Helena, addressing his plans should he become the state’s next governor. The Kalispell man said the state could expect “transparency, openness, open events,” and the answering of questions if he wins November’s contest. He said those things are “diametrically opposed to” by the Gianforte administration. Busse is the only Democrat to announce a run for governor, while Gianforte and state lawmaker Tanner Smith are running on the Republican side.
