Bismarck Man Sentenced In Gun, Car Theft Case

(Bismarck, ND) — A Bismarck man who was charged with stealing vehicles and guns has been sentenced to two years in prison. Gauge Johnson pleaded guilty Friday to 10 felonies and one misdemeanor in two separate cases that happened in Burleigh County last year. Authorities say Johnson reportedly admitted to taking the vehicles and trading a gun for meth. He was facing up to 10 years in prison, but Assistant Burleigh County State’s Attorney Wayne Goter said he recommended a lighter sentence because Johnson cooperated with police.
