University Of North Dakota Receives Grant For “Green Hydrogen”

(Grand Forks, ND) — A four-point-two-million-dollar federal grant for the University of North Dakota Energy and Environmental Research Center will help the University develop a cheaper and more efficient way to produce hydrogen. Researchers are working on producing so-called “green hydrogen” production, which is a renewable way to separate natural gas into hydrogen and carbon dioxide, and capture the CO2 rather than release it back into the atmosphere.
