(Medora, ND) — Cleanup is underway after a leaking pipeline resulted in a significant oil spill near Medora. Officials say 420 gallons of oil spilled out of a pipeline owned by Cobra Oil and Gas on Sunday. The spill has reportedly impacted the local ecosystem, including a tributary of Garner Creek and the surrounding rangeland. Specialists from the North Dakota Department of Environmental Quality are working with Cobra Oil and Gas to monitor the situation and help with the cleanup process.
