(Undated) — A former NBA player is headed to the Summer Olympics, but in a different sport. On Wednesday, Chase Budinger and his beach volleyball partner Miles Evans clinched the second and final spot to represent the U.S. in Paris. Budinger was a 2009 second round draft pick and he played for four teams across seven NBA seasons, including with the Timberwolves from 2012-15. He was a star volleyball player in high school in California and decided to focus on beach volleyball after retiring from basketball in 2017. The Olympics get underway July 26th.
