(Sioux Falls, SD) — Sioux Falls has a serious speeding problem. At least that’s what the latest ticket numbers suggest from the city’s police department. Sargeant Travis Olsen says they’re averaging around seven-hundred citations a month since the beginning of the year. If the trend continues, Sioux Falls is on pace for well over eight-thousand speeding tickets in 2024. It’s an astonishing outlook after citations reportedly finished under seven-thousand in 2023. South Dakota speeding tickets range anywhere from 97 to over two-hundred dollars.
