(Harrisburg, SD) — Access to Lake Alvin will be closed for a while, starting today. That means the Recreation Area swim beach and boat ramps cannot be used. South Dakota Game, Fish and Parks announced crews will be working on beach area renovations and spillway replacement projects through the rest of the year. The spillway and surrounding areas will remain closed until further notice with an expected completion date for spring of next year.
