(Sioux Falls, SD) — People in Sioux Falls are rallying for suicide prevention. The first annual Hailey’s Legacy Rally for Suicide Awareness and Prevention was held downtown over the weekend. It was started by Hailey’s mother, Larissa Strong, who wants to create change for people who struggle with their mental health after her daughter took her own life in February. Different organizations and resources were available for both loved ones who were impacted by suicide at the event. Anyone struggling with suicidal thoughts are encouraged to call the 9-8-8 Suicide Hotline number for help.
