Twins Use First Pick On SS Culpepper

(Fort Worth, TX) — The Minnesota Twins are building their future. The team selected Kansas State shortstop Kaelen Culpepper with the 21st overall of the MLB Draft yesterday. Culpepper hit .328 with 11 home runs, 59 RBI, and 17 stolen bases in 61 games with the Wildcats last season. The Twins also selected Louisiana shortstop Kyle DeBarge at pick 33, Tennessee third baseman Billy Amick at pick 60, and high school pitcher Dasan Hill at 69. The MLB Draft continues today.
