Man Who Shot at Trooper at Sturgis Rally Sentenced

(Sturgis, SD) — The man who shot at a state trooper at last year’s Sturgis Motorcycle Rally could spend decades behind bars. Attorney General Marty Jackley says 29-year-old Wyatt Fluty of Saratoga, Wyoming has been sentenced to 55 years in prison. Fluty pleaded guilty in May to attempted murder and a felony gun charge. Fluty fired two shots at a state trooper last August after he was pulled over for suspicion of stealing a vehicle from Wyoming. The trooper was unharmed.
