(Devils Lake, ND) — A woman is lucky to be alive after a man rescued her from a car sinking in Devils Lake on Monday. David Hooge was driving near the lake with his family when he saw the car behind him lose control and go into the water. Jumping into action, he pulled over, grabbed a rock, and ran into the water to save the woman trapped in the car. He used the rock to smash a window and pull her out before the car became submerged. Besides some back pain, the woman is doing ok and says she’ll be forever thankful for David and his family.
