Ray Holmberg Pleads Guilty To Child Sex Abuse-Related Charges

(Bismarck, ND) — Former North Dakota Senator Ray Holmberg has pleaded guilty to charges related to child sexual abuse. He’s accused of traveling to the Czech Republic with the intent of sexually abusing children, and trying to receive child sexual abuse material. He was indicted last year and was scheduled to go to trial in September, but signed a plea agreement in June. Holmberg was recently accused of violating the conditions of his release by allegedly drinking alcohol, using the internet, and leaving his home without approval. A court date for his sentencing hasn’t been set.
