(Grand Forks, ND) — A man who was arrested after a standoff last month is accused of trying to escape from police custody at Altru Hospital in Grand Forks. On July 28th, 32-year-old Collin Posey was taken to the hospital for medical treatment, and police received a tip that he was planning an escape. A search of his hospital room reportedly turned up a hidden butter knife and other items that could be used in an escape, and the handrail he was cuffed to had been taken apart. Posey faces charges of escaping a felony arrest or charge, and possessing contraband useful for escape.
