South Dakota Delegates Fired Up at the DNC

(Chicago, IL) — South Dakota’s Democratic delegates are voicing their excitement for the Harris-Walz presidential ticket. The state’s party chair Shane Merrill tells KELO people are fired up and “it’s something different we haven’t had in a long time.” South Dakota Democratic Party national committeeman Dennis Olson spoke specifically about vice presidential nominee Tim Walz, saying he’s glad the Minnesota governor was picked as Kamala Harris’ running mate, adding, “They know the road to the White House is through rural America.” The DNC wraps up tonight with Harris accepting the party’s nomination for president.
