(Minot, ND) — A man who’s scheduled to go to trial for murder is accused of trying to kill a fellow inmate at the Ward County Jail in Minot. Investigators say Kamauri Kennedy attacked the victim in the jail’s dayroom last Thursday, leaving him with wounds on his arms and head. The inmate was treated for his injuries, and Kennedy faces five new charges, including attempted murder. Kennedy will go on trial for the 2021 murder of 33-year-old Domonique Kelley on September 18th.
