(Sioux Falls, SD) — The Sioux Falls Canaries blanked the Winnepeg Goldeyes 5-0 last night, earning their first postseason victory in four years. The Canaries scored twice in the first inning off a bases loaded walk and a Mike Hart sacrifice fly. One more run in the fourth and two more runs in the fifth would give the Birds an early 5-0 lead. That would be more than enough for starter Tanner Brown, who threw seven shutout innings, allowing two runs and striking out nine. The best-of-three series now shifts to Winnepeg. First-pitch on Friday is at 7 p.m.
