(Bismarck, ND) — Directors at North Dakota Health and Human Services say they’re changing the way they manage child welfare cases. The department is also reviewing the program’s resources and policies. The changes come following the State Auditor’s Office recent audit, which found that the department has several areas in need of improvement. Administrators say they’re also working on recovering inaccurately distributed funds from their workforce retention program, and they’re completing their final program review.
