(Mercer County, ND) — With the trial of Ian Cramer approaching, officials say a possible plea deal is in the works. Cramer, the son of Senator Kevin Cramer, faces a homicide charge in connection with the death of Deputy Paul Martin. Martin died last December when Cramer allegedly crashed into his patrol vehicle at the end of a high-speed chase in Mercer County. State’s Attorney Todd Schwarz is reportedly speaking with Martin’s family about the plea deal. The trial will begin on September 24th if a plea deal isn’t reached
