South Dakota Files Lawsuit Against NCAA

(Sioux Falls, SD) — South Dakota and Attorney General Marty Jackley have filed a lawsuit against the NCAA. The lawsuit, filed on behalf of South Dakota State University and the University of South Dakota, claims that the NCAA is discriminating against non-power conference schools. Jackley says the NCAA has unfairly favored larger universities and disfavors female student-athletes with a proposed settlement that would regulate payments for athletes. According to Jackley, the South Dakota schools would lose around one-million dollars in NCAA revenue each year for ten years under the new proposal.
