(Sioux Falls, SD) — A man in Mount Vernon is pleading guilty to killing a three-year-old boy. Authorities arrested 36-year-old Shawn Delancey in March of 2023 after becoming frustrated with toddler while babysitting him. Delaney told police he shook the boy violently, the toddler became unresponsive and later died. Delaney is pleading guilty to child abuse and second-degree manslaughter.
