(Sioux Falls, SD) — The South Dakota State Penitentiary and Jameson Annex in Sioux Falls remain on lockdown. It went into effect Sunday night around 11:30. The Department of Corrections said in a statement the lockdown “is related to facility security and operations,” but isn’t providing any details at this time. The D-O-C added that it isn’t known how long the lockdown will last. Attorney visits are being allowed, but all other visits are cancelled during the lockdown.
