(Vermillion, SD) — This season’s non-conference schedule is in the books for the South Dakota and South Dakota State football teams. Both posted lopsided wins over the weekend, with the sixth-ranked Coyotes beating vote-getter Drake 42-to-three and the top-ranked Jackrabbits shutting out Southeastern Louisiana 41-to-nothing. South Dakota State is off this week, then travels to Northern Iowa on October 5th for its Missouri Valley Football Conference opener. South Dakota opens MVFC play Saturday afternoon at home against seventh-ranked Southern Illinois as part of Hall of Fame Weekend.
