(Bismarck, ND) — North Dakota is receiving several million dollars in federal funds to guard against terrorist attacks. Officials say the seven-and-a-half-million-dollars will go to law enforcement, schools and non-profit organizations, along with protection at the Canadian border. The money will be used for security measures such as equipment and training. North Dakota Homeland Security Director Darin Hanson said there is much in the state that could impact the U.S., citing the “energy sector and ag sector,” as well as “two of the three arms of the nuclear triad.”
