(Minneapolis, MN) — Some Minnesota business owners are blaming the weather for a lack of business this summer. Explore Minnesota, Hospitality Minnesota and the Minneapolis Federal Reserve recently polled more than 260 tourism-related businesses to ask about the summer tourist season. About half said they had fewer customers over the summer, with 48-percent saying rain caused the drop in business. The survey also found that about two-thirds of the business owners asked were optimistic that traffic will increase in the next six months.
