(Bismarck, ND) — A Bismarck man sentenced to life without parole for murdering a 16-year-old girl is appealing his conviction. Corbin Lampert was convicted last April for shooting 16-year-old Taryn Hohbein in the head while drinking with teenagers. In a court filing Wednesday, Lampert’s attorney said there were issues with the case, including allowing two witnesses to testify after they violated orders to not listen to court proceedings. The state has yet to file a response.
