North Dakota Game & Fish Begin Fall Fish Reproduction Surveys

(Bismarck, ND) — The North Dakota Game and Fish Department is beginning its fall fish reproduction surveys. Done on lakes and rivers statewide, crews are looking at waterbodies statewide for small fish to determine the health of the fisheries before going into winter. The two primary things to determine fish growth are water temperatures and forage in a lake. Game and Fish manages over lakes around the state, with roughly a third surveyed during the fall.
