(Brookings, SD) — Make it three years in a row for the Jackrabbits over the Coyotes on the gridiron. Amar Johnson’s three-yard touchdown run in overtime lifted nationally third-ranked South Dakota State to a 20-17 victory over number-four ranked South Dakota Saturday night at Dana J. Dykhouse Stadium in Brookings. The Jackrabbits have a ten-and-two record against the Coyotes in the FCS era and have won the last three. With both second-ranked Montana State and fifth-ranked U-C Davis idle over the weekend, South Dakota State and South Dakota may keep their same rankings when the new FCS Top 25 comes out today. The Jackrabbits host Murray State this Saturday, while the Coyotes have this week off.
