(Fargo, ND) — The North Dakota Catholic Conference is urging parishioners to vote against Measure 5 next week. The ballot initiative allows the legalization of recreational marijuana for everyone aged 21 and over. Bishops John Folda and David Kagan claim marijuana is not a harmless drug and can be addictive. The North Dakota Catholic Conference represents the Dioceses of Fargo and Bismarck. Voters rejected similar measures in 2018 and 2022.
