North Dakota To Receive $4M A Year To Fight Opioid Abuse

(Bismarck, ND) — North Dakota is receiving twelve-million dollars over the next three years for opioid treatment and prevention. KFYR says four-million dollars a year will be sent to a number of organizations who fight opioid abuse, including public health groups, education programs, reservations and the Department of Corrections. It will also allow for individuals to receive Narcan at no cost. The funding will be managed by North Dakota Health and Human Services.
