(Washington, DC) — North Dakota Senator John Hoeven is among those on Capitol Hill supporting the Stand With Israel Act. Hoeven joined Idaho Senator Jim Risch and 32 of their Senate colleagues in introducing the legislation Wednesday. It’s aim is to combat what they are calling the persecution of Israel by the UN. The act would cut off funding to UN agencies that expel, downgrade, suspend or otherwise restrict the participation of the State of Israel. Hoeven says without Israel’s partnership, terrorists and extremists would run rampant across the Middle East and threaten global security.
