(Bismarck, ND) — A new state bill would provide 15-million dollars to replace Chinese drones used in North Dakota. The bill introduced this week by Republican lawmaker Mike Nathe would replace the Chinese-made drones currently being used by North Dakota law enforcement, oil regulators, state agencies and colleges. Nathe said there were Chinese-made drones going over oil fields, missile sites, Air Force bases, and “everything” in North Dakota, and that it was not only a security concern for the state, but for the U.S. North Dakota state institutions that own over 350 drones, with about 90 percent made in China.
