Aberdeen Police Officer Hit By Suspected Drunk Drivers

(Aberdeen, SD) — An Aberdeen police officer is okay after being struck during a crash Sunday morning. The officer yet to be named was helping a Brown County Sheriff’s Deputy with a traffic stop, both with amber lights activated. A pickup rolled up behind them, changed lanes and hit another vehicle while passing. The crash caused the pickup to hit the patrol car, knocking it into the officer. The officer was not hurt but was still taken to the hospital. Both drivers involved were suspected of driving under the influence and arrested. Their names have not been released
