(Minot, ND) — The Minot Police Department is looking to hire ten to 15 officers. Administrative Captain Jason Sunbakken tells KX-News the department is facing shortages that haven’t been seen at this level in years. He says MPD is working with Minot State University to connect with its criminal justice students and other students who might have an interest in law enforcement. Sunbakken also says the department has changed hiring practices to make it easier for potential recruits.
