(Bismarck, ND) — A bill that would protect crisis counselors in North Dakota is passing its first hurdle. Wednesday, the state’s Senate Judiciary passed legislation that would provide greater protections from legal action for 911, 988 and 211 employees. Senator Kristin Roers introduced the bill that protects liability only when employees follow best practices and there’s no apparent gross negligence.
