(Bismarck, ND) — A bill that would have made it more difficult for certain foreign countries to buy land in North Dakota is dead in the state senate. Monday, the bill lost by one vote during a floor session. The bill would have required deed owners to mark whether they were allowed to own property or not because they were associated with a “country of concern,” such as China.
