(Washington, DC) — Former Governor Doug Burgum’s cabinet nomination will reportedly be put to a vote this week by a U.S. Senate committee. A spokesperson for Senator John Hoeven said the Senate Committee on Energy and Natural Resources plans to take a vote this Thursday. Hoeven is a member of the committee. There’s no word as to when a vote by the full Senate will be held, although Hoeven’s spokesperson said it will hopefully be within a week-to-ten-days. Burgum is President Trump’s nominee for Secretary of the Interior.
