Today in SD Legislature

PIERRE, S.D. (SDBA)—Today , lawmakers are tackling several major issues at the state capitol.
The morning begins  with the House Agriculture Committee discussing a bill about food labeling. The proposed law would prevent companies from mislabeling lab-grown meat products as real beef.
Later,  the Senate Agriculture Committee will consider a future water permit for the Western Dakota Regional Water System.
The House will consider changes to the state’s Medicaid expansion, linking it to federal funding levels. Meanwhile, the Senate will debate joining other states in calling for a Constitutional Convention.
Also today, House Bill 1053, which would require age verification for adult websites, continues to gain attention ahead of tomorrow’s vote.
Tuesday is the 5th of 38 planned legislative days.
