(Pierre, SD) — All of the hurdles are now cleared to officially make Tony Venhuizen South Dakota’s new Lieutenant Governor. Both the House and Senate voted unanimously to confirm Venhuizen yesterday. He then took the oath of office alongside his family in front of the State Legislature. Venhuizen thanked Governor Rhoden and fellow lawmakers for entrusting him to take over the position. Venhuizen spent the rest of the afternoon presiding over the Senate. Today marks the 13th day for South Dakota’s 20205 Legislative Session.
