Former MPS Employee Changes Plea To Guilty In Minor Solicitation

(Minot, ND) — A former Minot City Council member and former Minot Public School employee is changing his plea to guilty for the solicitation of a minor. Benjamin Berg had pleaded not guilty and was let out on bond, eventually deciding to change the plea. He will now serve two years of supervised probation, and must register as a sex offender. Berg was arrested in November after the victim says they received messages through a social media app. The victim them agreed to meet Berg in a park, but brought multiple other juveniles to avoid being left alone. Berg came by car, speaking to the juvenile, who then later gave video of Berg’s license plate.
