Governor Armstrong Signs DUI Law

(Bismarck, ND) — North Dakota drivers will see harsher punishment for injuries related to driving under the influence. Governor Kelly Armstrong signed Tyanna’s Law, or House Bill 1503, which upgrades the charge of inflicting bodily injury while driving under the influence to a class B felony. Maximum incarceration also increases to 10 years. The law goes into effect on August 1st.
