South Dakota State Library Closed To Public

(Pierre, SD) — The South Dakota State Library is now closed to the public. The South Dakota Library Association made the announcement on social media yesterday. According to the post, those who need to use the library’s collection can until June 30th. This closure is likely related to the cuts made by the Trump Administration and DOGE to the Institute for Museum and Library Services. South Dakota’s Department of Education has not responded to the closure.
