(Pierre, SD) — The South Dakota Highway Patrol is announcing sobriety checkpoints in 14 counties throughout the month of May. The department’s goal is to deter drunk driving. Checkpoints will be carried out by the SDHP and other law enforcement agencies in Brown, Charles Mix, Codington, Lawrence, Meade, Minnehaha, Pennington, and Yankton, to name a few.
