69th Montana Legislative Session Ends

(Helena, MT) — The 69th Montana Legislative Session is over. Lawmakers in both chambers adjourned yesterday despite having until May 5th to complete their work. The motion to end the session came after the Senate passed two bills to provide property tax relief to Montanans. The two chambers also covered several other issues over the past few months, such as lifting the sunset date on Medicaid, boosting teacher pay, and other tax relief. Unless a special session is called, lawmakers won’t return until 2027.
