(Rapid City, SD) — Water restrictions in Rapid City are being implemented early for the first time in nearly two decades. The measures begin today after the start date was bumped up along with the conservation window getting extended. This hasn’t been done since 2008 even though the city enforces restrictions yearly. Rapid City officials have elevated its water status from normal to concerned because of low water levels in the area.
