Property Tax Relief Approved By MT Legislature

(Helena, MT) — Bills aimed at providing property tax relief for Montanans are heading to the governor’s desk. The Legislature passed the measures yesterday with bipartisan support, but were met with vocal opposition from some Republicans. Kalispell Senator John Fuller believes one of the bills was done outside the rules of the Legislature and called it “unconstitutional.” It’s now up to Governor Greg Gianforte on what happens with the legislation, as property tax relief has been one of his main priorities.
