(Bismarck, ND) — The state Senate won’t overturn Governor Kelly Armstrong’s veto of a health insurance bill. The Senate failed to keep the bill alive by a single vote that would have expanded benefits for all state employees without a premium increase. Co-pays would have also gone toward out-of-pocket costs. Governor Armstrong said the proposed plan would have been worse than the current benefits after he struck down the proposal.
