(Bismarck, ND) — The proposed gas tax increase is stalled in the North Dakota state house. Lawmakers decided not to write the increase in the NDDOT budget bill this past week. The budget removes all bonding opportunities that will now come straight from the state’s strategic investment and improvement fund. Included in the bill is funding for the Highway 85 expansion in McKenzie County.
