(Bismarck, ND) — North Dakota homeowners will have their property tax credits raised more than three times the existing amount. Governor Kelly Armstrong signed the bill to increase the credit from 500-dollars to one thousand, six-hundred-dollars per year. The state’s 12-billion-dollar Legacy Fund will cover the relief, allowing the tax credit size to be increased in future sessions. Lawmakers also adopted a three-percent cap on future tax increases for residential, commercial, and agricultural properties.
