Grand Forks Man Convicted Of Felony Drug Crimes

(Grand Forks, ND) — A Grand Forks man is heading to prison for drug crimes. Douglas Allen Austreng pleaded guilty to two felony counts of drug possession with the intent to deliver. The 61-year-old was arrested last October after authorities executed a search warrant on his residence. The Grand Forks Narcotics Task Force found over one thousand grams of methamphetamine and 30 grams of hallucinogenic mushrooms, along with other drugs and cash. Austreng will spend at least eight years in prison and an additional 12 years if he violates his probation conditions after his release.
