Stearns County Man Found Not Guilty Of Killing His Infant Son

(St. Cloud, MN) — More than a decade after the tragic death of his infant son, a Stearns County man has been found not guilty in a retrial. A jury recently acquitted 42-year-old Robert Kaiser of two charges of second-degree unintentional murder related to the 2014 death of his two-month-old son, William. This was Kaiser’s second time facing trial over the incident, in which the child suffered a fatal brain injury while reportedly in his sole care. The Great North Innocence Project, which took up the case in 2020, expressed satisfaction with the outcome. The organization advocates for individuals it believes have been wrongly convicted.
